To work, to pray, to play in the Light of the Lord
The whole school, from Reception up to Year 6, visited Nell Bank in Ilkley for our Team Day. The focus was on having fun, working together, enjoying the nature around us, making new friends and learning along the way.
In the morning, Reception joined up with Years 1 and 2 and took part in a whole host of activities relating to the book 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson. Meanwhile, Years 3 and 4 worked together on lots of activities centred around problem solving and Years 5 and 6 focused on team building activities.
After lunch, the whole school joined together and worked in their new House Teams (St. Aidan's, St. Bede's, St. Cuthbert and St. Hilda's) to take part in a nature trail. Our older children did an outstanding job of helping and looking after their younger friends.
Both children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was very pleasing to hear staff from Nell Bank commenting on what wonderful children we have here at Holy Family.
