Wednesday 17th March 2021
This afternoon, we learnt all about rivers. We then chose 4 key parts of a river (the source, a waterfall, the meander and a flooding) and created a piece of music to represent it. We loved it! We worked great in our table teams and we recorded it perfectly on the first take! Here we are composing our music:
Here is our performance:
First week back! March 2021
This first week back after lockdown has been fab! We have had a really arty and crafty week where the children have been making clocks, a tea set and a photograph gallery based on the Alice in Wonderland theme. On Friday morning, we even had a Mad Hatter's Tea Party!
Here are some photos of all of the amazing things we have been up to:

We have been visited by Santa this afternoon! He was very jolly and brought us all a very special gift. We were all excited to tell him what we had written in our letters to him.
Wednesday 16th December 2020
This afternoon, we were lucky enough to be able to watch a live streamed, socially-distanced performance of the pantomime Rapunzel. It was 'hairlairious' and great to see our class laughing and some of us even dancing away! Thank you to Miss James for organising : )
Tuesday 15th December 2020
This afternoon, we all took part in a fab Christmassy treasure hunt down on Jailey Field. We had a great time running round trying to find the Christmas items hidden across the field. Once we had found all of the clues, we had a huge chocolate muffin and hot chocolate to warm us up! A fun afternoon! Here are some photographs:

This morning, we had our trip to This Green Moon which was themed around our topic of Earth and Space. We thought about our Earth and how important it is to look after the natural things on our planet. Paul, our leader there, told us that aliens had come to This Green Moon and were planning to take away all of the trees, shrubs and everything else that humanity depends on for oxygen. We had to mount an attack and played laser shooting which was amazing fun! We then had lunch and toasted marshmallows over the fire. What a fantastic trip!

Our stars of the week this week are: Leon and Callum. Fab job boys!!
During PSHE week, we thought about our aspirations and dreams for our futures. We thought about what we would like to achieve in the year before we enter Year 6, what we would like to have achieved by the time we were 20 and what our dream job/career would be.
We made these fantastic treasure chests which contain the goals we have set for ourselves and had a go at making these dream catchers to help us capture and fulfil our hopes for our futures.

We have been writing letters to Grandma about the horrible wolves, who have been hiding in the walls. The children have worked incredibly hard.
In Music this morning, we were playing our awesome 'body drums' along to 'We Will Rock You' the classic song by Queen (Mrs Flanagan's favourite band!). We are all super at keeping a rhythm and pulse and made our own beats to go with the music
Friday 18th September 2020
Here we are in Music this morning playing a game of 'Switch' to practise our co-ordination. The birthday boy Danial had go at leading the class so we got a glimpse of everyone's fantastic dance moves! We then turned our bodies into a drum kit and created our own rhythms using body percussion as the bass drum, snare drum, tom toms and high hat.
