Reception Home Learning
Thank you so much to all of you that have engaged in our Zoom sessions so far this week, it was lovely to see you all at home safe and happy. Please continue to join us on Zoom each day.
Please check this page each week as it will give you the weekly timetable overview and help you plan for the week ahead.
Phonics will be live each morning via zoom. Please do join us as this is a vital part of your child's learning each day. When you have collected/received a pack from school, your child will need their whiteboard and pen for each phonics session please. Until then, you can complete the activities on paper.
I have emailed a list with an individual time slot to allow you to join Zoom each Monday. This is an opportunity for your child to have 5 minutes of 1:1 reading time with either Miss James or Mrs Gibbons. Please ensure that you take note of your child's time. This time will remain the same each week. You will receive 3 new books for you to read with your child at home. I will expect your child to bring a school reading book to their given Zoom slot each Monday.
Please pay attention to the colour book needed for each activity. This is stated on the weekly plan. If you are unsure of the correct book, please ask and I can help you.
I have collated a pack of useful resources that you can use if you wish to do so. This can be used either in your own time at home or, when we are not offering a live Zoom session. They are great time filling activities and will support your child with their learning. The packs also contain stationery and items that your child may need when at home. If there are any other resources you require, please do let me know and I will help however I can.

HALF TERM FUN
Please have fun during half term. I have added a booklet to say thank you to our key workers if you would like to do some of the activities. Please do not feel like you have to do it. We have a very fun-packed week and we cannot wait for it. If you would like to dress up in some special clothes on Wednesday, please feel free. We will be celebrating the Wedding at Cana in our RE lesson.
On Thursday, if you wish to wear something to make you look like a pirate, please do! DO NOT GO AND BUY ANYTHING! You can make a hat or a sword at home with your parents if you do not have anything. We will be joining our Nursery friends for a Zoom full of fun in the afternoon.
