Movement Corridor
Our movement corridor supports the development of children’s gross motor skills while promoting self-regulation and emotional wellbeing. Pupils from all year groups use the space to take part in purposeful movement activities that help release excess energy, improve coordination and support focus for learning. Key Stage 1 children access the corridor with adult supervision, while Key Stage 2 pupils are encouraged to develop independence by using the space in small groups or on their own, supported by a timer. This structured approach builds trust, responsibility and self-awareness, helping children recognise when movement is needed to support their learning and behaviour.
