Sensory Circuits
At our school, sensory circuits take place three times a week and give children a calm, positive start to the day. Each session follows a clear structure of alerting, organising and calming activities. Alerting activities help to wake up the body and brain, organising activities develop balance, coordination and motor control, and calming activities support children to feel settled and ready to learn. This structured routine helps pupils regulate their emotions, release excess energy and improve focus. Over time, sensory circuits build confidence, support emotional wellbeing and improve concentration for our children. Staff support children through the circuit and model the different stages to them.
